Face to Face - Jeff O'Connell and Gabrielle Warnock
This book is based on a unique collection of photographs that normally grace the walls of Kennys Bookshop in Galway, Ireland.
This book is primarily a collection of photographs; relaxed, intimate portraits of over 200 writers, artists and intellectuals. Some of the subjects whose faces you will find between these covers have international reputations, many have shaped Irish cultural life over the past decades, still others have made an enormous impact but in a more localized manner. The one thing that they all have in common is that they have, over the years, come face to face with the Kenny family in their bookshop in the West of Ireland, where their images now hang in full splendour. To help the reader place the many faces in context, Gabrielle Warnock has researched the detailed, insightful biographies that accompany these photographs.
